The application campaign for the World Youth Festival to start on June 24

Applications for participation in the World Youth Festival, which will be held in our country next year, will be available from June 24. This was announced today at the first meeting of the organizing committee of the festival. By the beginning of the application submission campaign, they promise to prepare a big presentation of the event.

According to preliminary estimates of the organizers, more than 20 thousand people will take part in the festival. And they probably won’t just be students. There is a proposal to expand the age of participants. It is already obvious that young people show interest in the festival not only in our country, but also in many other countries.

“Even where the governments of countries try to set some restrictions and try not to send official delegations. We are immediately approached by very numerous public organizations of these countries — youth organizations — which tell that “we do want to send our delegations. And we will send even more numerous delegation than if it were sent only through official authorities.

In this sense, Russia today serves as an example indeed. Defending the right to sovereignty, upholding the right to observe their cultural and traditional values — this concerns a huge number of people in the world very near. And, of course, if we are talking about the fact that the world is changing, it is youth who should be talking about how and where the world should change in order to remain fair,” said Sergei Kiriyenko.
