Young people from all over the world will also be able to enjoy the performances of famous athletes. "The sports program will be an important part of the World Youth Festival. The World Friendship Games Organizing Committee is involved in the creation of the program. This is a very successful symbiosis. The Festival calls for unity and rejects all forms of discrimination. We bring the same ideas to the World Friendship Games. The sports program will be very extensive. It will include exhibition performances and workshops by famous athletes and activities for participants. They will be able to compete in popular sports and try out innovative areas such as sports programming. Gymnastics, dance and ice shows will be the highlights of the Festival," said Alexey Sorokin, World Friendship Games CEO and Deputy Head of the Working Group for Development and Organization of the World Youth Festival Sports Program.

The Street Classics Project was presented by its head Ivan Shmonin. He said that a separate track of the sports program will be a park of street culture and extreme sports. There will be scooter and skateboard exhibition performances, workout freestyle and hip-hop competitions, workshops in parkour, panna football, graffiti and much more.

"This street culture venue will showcase various sports popular with young people. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy spectacular shows, sports competitions and, most importantly, try your hand at various disciplines. The venue will be full of joy and excitement," commented Ivan Shmonin, Head of the Street Classics Project.

When creating the sports program, the Festival organizers tried to create conditions that would enable young people from different countries to make new acquaintances and engage in joint activities as much as possible. One of the main goals of the Festival is to find common ground among the participants.

During the presentation, Roman Vlasov explained what else awaits the WYF 2024 participants in addition to the sports events. These include discussions and lectures by eminent experts, an exhibition program, cultural exchanges, volunteer activities and other interactive formats.
