The World Youth Festival and its upcoming scientific events were presented at the 3rd Congress of Young Scientists.

Sergey Pershin, WYF 2024 Program Director, introduced the Congress participants to the Festival program. He noted that as part of the scientific track, young scientists from all over the world will be able to build relationships and technological synergy within the youth scientific community to create a just world and discuss cooperation between different countries in the scientific field.

"Our partners in the creation of the scientific track of the World Youth Festival are not only the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Sphere of Science and Education under the Presidential Council for Science and Education, but also the best Russian universities and corporations. There will be many different formats at the Festival. We want to make it look non-standard. We want the Festival to showcase Russia in terms of its youth-centricity. Our country is aimed at young people. There are many opportunities for them in education and science. In this sense, youth is the future, and our country is about the future," said Sergey Pershin, WYF 2024 Program Director.

Young scientists were also introduced to the events that will be included in the WYF 2024 program. One of these formats will be the Science as Art show cases, during which young Russian scientists will present their advanced developments in the form of a theatrical performance together with residents of the Tavrida Art Cluster.

The first show case was a performance by young environmental scientists who took the audience on a journey through the world of environmental science using simple children's games. The show will be integrated into the children's track of the World Youth Festival next March.

Young scientists talked not only about modern research in ecology, but also about their own developments. Anastasia Rychagova, a PhD student of the Faculty of Soil Science of Lomonosov Moscow State University, shared a story about the development of an air purifier with biofilters for residential premises. Bogdan Yakobson, head of Seed'OS, talked about the development of a capacitive soil moisture sensor as part of import substitution. Nikita Shilinskii, a student of RSAU-MTAA, explained the importance of the lighting sensor he invented, which takes into account the spectrum and angle of incidence of light in greenhouse complexes.

The Science as Art show cases ended with a musical gift from Tavrida to the participants of the Congress of Young Scientists, a house show featuring rapper ST, Uma2rman rock band and residents of the Tavrida Art Cluster. The artists will also perform at the World Youth Festival.

"Next March, there will be a cool big international event at the same place, the World Youth Festival, where a lot of young talented people will gather together to exchange experiences and make something creative. We will also perform on this stage," said rapper ST.
