9 February 2024, 17:05

On March 5, the Festival of the Global Values School of Innopractics will be held at the WYF 2024. The organization creates intercultural dialog between representatives of different countries, artistic views and aesthetic traditions by introducing foreign students of creative universities to Russia.

The main event of the Global Values Festival will be a concert consisting of two parts. The first part will feature the best performances by Russian and foreign choreographers. WYF 2024 participants will see works by Russian choreographers Konstantin Keikhel, Olga Vasileva, Victoriya Archaya, Sofya Gaydukova, as well as productions by Allen Chunhui Xing, artistic director and founder of Xing Dance Theater, USA. Using the language of dance, young talented dancers from all over the world, participants of the School of Innopractics and students of the Eifman Dance Academy, will talk about struggling and choosing between true values and stereotypes imposed by modern society.

"Ballet is a universal language of spiritual communication. It can be understood by people of all cultures and can overcome all obstacles. It is an art that shocks people deeply. It helps them to come closer to catharsis. I hope that the WYF 2024 choreographic program will give the Russian and foreign spectators incomparable bright emotions, which are so necessary for each of us today. Young audiences were the first to accept and support our art when my theater was just beginning its creative journey. After all, it is they who are most likely to make bold artistic choices and experiment. The World Youth Festival is an excellent platform for exploring the achievements of modern choreographic art because the development of ballet in the 21st century is inconceivable without the principle of live exchange of knowledge and experience," said Boris Eifman, Artistic Director of the Festival of the Global Values School of Innopractics and People's Artist of Russia.

Boris Eifman's Ballet will be shown in the second part. It will be performed by students of the Eifman Dance Academy and soloists of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theater.

"The program is very modern. It is designed for a young audience. It is especially important and valuable for the productions to be seen by a new generation of viewers. They will be able to discover ballet from an unusual side and follow its evolution. Ballet is a unique art form that enables you to communicate with the audience on a deep emotional level. But most importantly, ballet is an international art that erases linguistic, temporal, and other boundaries," said Konstantin Matveev, Honored Artist of Russia and Artistic Director of the Eifman Dance Academy.
