During the World Youth Festival, Moscow City Volunteers will meet volunteers from other regions and foreign participants at the capital's railway stations and airports. They will be coordinated by one of the WYF 2024 Volunteer Recruitment and Training Centers at the Mosvolonter Resource Center. The first training seminar was held on February 16, 2024. About 300 people from Moscow took part in it.

Moscow City Volunteers will be 1,000 residents of the capital. Beginning on February 20, they will be meeting and accompanying delegations of volunteers from 36 Russian regions at airports and railway stations as they travel to and from the Festival through Moscow. Volunteers will also assist foreign participants with transfers in the capital and transportation to the World Youth Festival site.

They will accompany foreign guests arriving in Moscow to participate in the regional program after the main events of the WYF 2024 are over. Volunteers will meet foreign delegations at the capital's airports and railway stations, assist with hotel check-in, and accompany participants around the city. City Volunteers will create the atmosphere of a hospitable and comfortable city and help guests get to know Moscow better.

"It is the Moscow City Volunteers who will give the volunteers from all over the country and foreign participants their first impression of the Festival before they arrive in Sirius. Then they will help them keep good and warm memories of the Festival and Russia, which they will take back to their countries," said Aleksandr Levit, Director of the Mosvolonter Resource Center.

During the training, the City Volunteers learned the peculiarities of teamwork and interaction with various categories of citizens and the history of the World Youth Festival. They also learned about volunteer ethics and safety.
