Participants of the World Youth Festival made a virtual railroad journey from Moscow to Vladivostok

Participants of the World Youth Festival had a chance to take a virtual journey with Russian Railways from Moscow to Vladivostok. The event took place in the hall of the Justice Congress Hall.

An improvised train with the Festival participants traveled along the Trans-Siberian Railway - the world's longest route. The participants made stops in the cities of Yaroslavl, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Taishet and Irkutsk.

"Passengers" in an interactive show format "visited" famous tourist places of Russia, learned about the cultural peculiarities of the country's regions, communicated in real time with railway transport workers, and "visited" the Baikal-Amur Mainline and other most large-scale railway infrastructure facilities.

"We are very happy that today you will become passengers on the most unique railroad route in the world. Our train has united two youth capitals - Moscow and Vladivostok. We will travel along the world's longest railroad - the Trans-Siberian Railway. It is 9288 kilometers long. During the journey, you will learn a lot of interesting things about our vast country and the role of the railroad in its development," First Deputy Director General of JSC "Russian Railways" and the key speaker of the event Sergey Kobzev addressed the participants of the show .

During the virtual journey, young people familiarized themselves with the country's vast geography and natural riches, historical and cultural features of the regions, as well as the main attractions.

JSC "Russian Railways" continues its work at the Festival at the Youth Festival Station stand located at the main entrance to the WYF International Airport.

The World Youth Festival is taking place at the Sirius Federal Territory from March 1 to 7, 2024, as per the decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed at fostering international youth cooperation.

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) is the organizer of the World Youth Festival, with the Directorate of the World Youth Festival serving as the operator for WYF-2024.
