5 October 2023, 13:00

On October 5, the World Youth Festival was presented at the Forum of Class Teachers and Mentors. Daniil Bisslinger, Coordinator of the International Division of the World Youth Festival, presented the WYF 2024 program concept, main meanings and values to the participants of the Forum.

He explained the opportunities that the World Youth Festival offers young teachers and mentors. The Festival aims to create a platform for open dialogue between young people from all over the world. Together with their colleagues from other countries, they will have the opportunity to contribute to building a common future, a fair multipolar world based on cooperation and the search for a balance of interests.

“Educating children is an important contribution to the future that young people have to build. The upcoming Festival will give young teachers the opportunity to discuss with participants from other countries how they see the world where everyone has the right to their own opinion and to respect each other's interests. That is why I would like to invite teachers, mentors and schoolchildren to join the upcoming event, which will become a platform for a large-scale youth dialogue and inspire its participants to create a just world,” said Daniil Bisslinger, Coordinator of the International Division of the World Youth Festival.

Young teachers up to the age of 35 can participate in the Festival. Teachers of any age can also join the WYF 2024 Volunteer Corps, including silver age teachers. They will be able to share their rich life experience with young volunteers.

For the first time in the history of the Festival movement, there will be a children's track. A total of 1,000 children aged 14 to 17 will gather at the Festival, including 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad. A special children's program will be developed for them. Teachers and mentors will have the opportunity to invite their schoolchildren to take part in the WYF 2024.

The Forum of Class Teachers and Mentors is taking place for the third time in Russia. This year it will bring together 3,000 school education activists, grade 1-11 class teachers and mentors of groups of secondary vocational educational institutions from all regions of the Russian Federation. The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
