On August 20, as part of the closing ceremony of the Festival of Young Art Tavrida.ART, a traditional new Resident Show of the Tavrida Art Cluster was held, where the mascot, the visual concept and the official song of the World Festival of Youth, which will be held in Sirius from March 1 to 7, 2024, were presented.

«The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has decided to hold the World Youth Festival, as we received appeals from all over the world from participants of previous festivals, which our country has hosted three times. From March 1 to 7, 2024, in Sirius, the Festival will host 20 thousand people from all over the planet. And this crosses out any attempts to culturally isolate our country: if creative, talented, bright young people from different countries come to Russia, it means that we cannot be isolated because the future lies in these people who will gather in Sirius. Moreover, we have something to show from what is currently being implemented in Russia, in terms of opportunities for self-realization of the younger generation, and we are ready to share this unique experience with countries that share our values, » said Sergey Kiriyenko, the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation.

By the decision of the Organizing Committee of the World Youth Festival, the residents of the Tavrida Art Cluster were entrusted with the creation of the cultural program of the event, added Sergey Kiriyenko. The presentation of the most important semantic components of the WYF 2024 was held in the format of a colorful performance created especially for the Festival of Young Art Tavrida.ART.

«The main objective of the World Youth Festival is to strengthen the bonds between young people in different countries of the world: it is a dialogue - open and honest - and it is an opportunity to promote our values. We want to share this with the whole world because we know that those who are with us are much more. It is the Festival of diversity, of recognizing that diversity and the power of that diversity. Of course, Russia, which is populated by more than 190 nations and nationalities, knows exactly what it is talking about: everyone has the right to an identity, the right to their own traditions, their own culture, but we are all united by common values. The Festival is a meeting place for people who care, who are united by the same values, who are open to the world, just as Russia is open to the world. It is the Festival of friendship because the most important thing for us is to continue these ties beyond the World Festival. I am sure that this is a solid foundation for the future, because young people are those who are responsible for the future, those who will shape it, and we need to shape it together, » said Ksenia Razuvaeva, the Head of Rosmolodezh.

Cheburashka, who celebrates his birthday on this day, became the mascot of the World Youth Festival. He is a beloved hero who symbolizes kindness, openness and friendship. During the Art Cluster Residents' Show, a large orange balloon with Cheburashka appeared on the stage, and a fountain of his favorite fruit - oranges - was depicted on the screen.

The choice of the hero is not accidental: Cheburashka became the mascot of the World Youth Festival because he symbolizes its core values - friendliness and mutual respect. Cheburashka is like no one else and, at the same time, is close in spirit to all good people of the world. He is open to everything new and believes in a better and fairer future for all. Cheburashka is an important element of Russia's cultural code, widely known abroad. This hero became one of the most beloved characters of several generations of Soviet and Russian children, and with the recent release of the full-length film, he has found new life and popularity among today's youth. He is known and loved in many countries of the world for his modesty, friendliness and spontaneity, which make him charming despite his unusual and unfamiliar appearance.

The culmination of the Residents' Show was the presentation of the official song of the World Youth Festival. The participants of the event became the first witnesses of the performance of the musical piece that unites all the ideas and meanings of the Festival. The official song of the WYF 2024 was performed by the duet NANSI & SIDOROV.

Residents of the Tavrida Art Cluster also took part in the presentation of the Festival: the creative team gave a tour of the upcoming large-scale youth event, expressed the main values and meanings of the Festival in different world languages, and demonstrated the idea of uniting young people from all over the planet. The participants of the show introduced to the audience the program and the logo of the World Youth Festival - a stylized image of human figures holding hands, which we see as if from above. The main idea is to find points of contact between different peoples, cultures and national traditions. According to the idea, all the people in the logo are different: in character, faith, ideas, beliefs, culture and lifestyle, race and nationality. But they are united by a common dream - the desire to live in a world where everyone can be themselves: to live and develop as they choose, without imposing their values on others.
