Sergei Kiriyenko: foreign participants of WYF-2024 will learn the real Russia

Thanks to the World Youth Festival, foreign guests can get to know the real Russia better. This was stated by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of WYF-2024 Sergei Kiriyenko.

“The guys who came to the Festival understand that the discussion is open. Many of them say they are amazed at the variety of choices and opportunities. They see the openness and choice of young Russians who are proud of their country, history, culture and are very careful about the traditions of guests from other countries. This feeling of mutual respect and understanding allows them to feel the real Russia in a completely different way,” said Sergei Kiriyenko.

The First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation also noted that more than 300 thousand applications were submitted to participate in WYF-2024, and young people from all over the world had to really fight for the right to join the Festival in Russia.

“It is already clear that any attempts to somehow limit Russia, to boycott Russia, failed miserably. You know that there are 193 countries in the United Nations, we now have representatives of almost 190 countries on the site - almost the whole world,” - he said to a journalist at the event site.
