On January 25, Students' Day, the Russian Student Groups together with the Federal Passenger Company JSC (FPC JSC) presented the uniforms of passenger train conductors of the World Youth Festival as part of the launch of the fourth season of Your Move All-Russian Student Competition.

In December 2023, the competition was announced among student group members. The winners will be the conductors of the passenger trains of the World Youth Festival 2024. There was a lot of interest in the competition. More than 400 people applied to participate. Based on the results, the 45 best conductors will be selected to work with passengers during the Festival.

"The Student Group Movement is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. Over the years, student groups have participated in the most important events in our country and are always ready to work wherever help is required. The World Youth Festival will be one of the major events of the year. The participants were selected in a very competitive selection process, 8 people for 1 place. Once the World Youth Festival begins in March, student conductors will accompany all Festival guests on the trains and provide a high level of service. For students, participation in such projects is an opportunity to take part in large-scale, world-class events, as well as an incentive for professional development, as only the best student conductors will be able to participate," said Mikhail Kiselyov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy and Chairman of the Russian Student Groups Board.

For more than 10 years, the Russian Student Groups have been fruitfully cooperating with the FPC JSC. Each year, student groups train about 8,000 student conductors. That is one in four long-distance train conductors in the summer.

"The Russian Student Groups unite thousands of young people all over Russia. As a member of our company, you have demonstrated a high level of professionalism in your work. On behalf of the FPC JSC, I would like to thank you for your work. We have an important event coming up, the World Youth Festival. Festival participants will arrive on FPC JSC trains operated by student conductors. I am sure that the work will be done at a high level," said Ekaterina Skorokhodova, Deputy Director General of the FPC JSC.

Aleksey Poteyko, Member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Railways Board, added that cooperation with the FPC and the Russian Railways today opens many unique opportunities for students, one of which is servicing national and international events.

"Today we are sending groups to service three trains. The conductors are excited about the work they will be doing at the World Youth Festival. Today we saw a modern, bright, and beautiful uniform for them. And we are sure that they will adorn both the WYF 2024 and, of course, the Federal Passenger Company, which is the strategic carrier of the Festival," said Aleksey Poteyko, Member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Railways Board.
