Rosmolodezh expects 20,000 participants at the World Youth Festival

Rosmolodezh expects to bring together 20,000 participants from at least 100 countries at the World Youth Festival, Ksenia Razuvaeva, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), shared with RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding the World Youth Festival in February-March 2024.

 

“In the terms of the presence of countries, today we can say that at least 100 countries ... During the time of preparation, we will work on a significant expansion of this geography,” she said about the geography of the festival participants.

Razuvaeva noted that there is great interest in the world both in the upcoming event and in the processes taking place in Russia.

“We have maintained informal ties with youth organizations, movements, individual activists, young leaders abroad throughout this time,” she added.

  Razuvaeva also says that Rosmolodezh expects that “about 20,000 people will take part in the festival including both foreign participants and our Russian ones.”
