Development of Russian Phygital Sport Discussed at the WYF 2024

At the World Youth Festival on Sunday, March 3, there was an educational event "The legacy of the Games of the Future for the youth of Russia and foreign countries" within the framework of the federal Znanie.Pervye educational marathon.

The Games of the Future is a tournament free from political conjuncture, any kind of discrimination and double standards. The speakers of the event talked about the stages of preparation of the first in the history of the planet championship at the junction of the real and virtual worlds.

The conversation was attended by Nikita Nagornyy, President of the All-Russian Federation of Phygital Sports, Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, and Azat Kadyrov, First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation. The meeting took place within the framework of the Multinational Unity Day at the World Youth Festival.

The participants discussed the development of phygital sports in Russia, a new type of sport that combines traditional disciplines with virtual competitions. They also talked in general about the organization of sports events in the country. Nikita Nagornyy noted that a tremendous amount of work is being done in this direction: such events as the Games of the Future, BRICS Games, Friendship Games are held. In addition, good development in the Asian direction is underway. 

Azat Kadyrov noted that he talked to representatives of different countries and clubs about the Games of the Future. All foreign colleagues are surprised and delighted by the format of the tournament, where you can try yourself digitally and physically. 

He stressed that Russia knew how, knows how and every time builds up competence in holding the largest events, including the World Youth Festival, which brought together 20,000 people and the organization of which was possible only in the Russian Federation. 

In turn, Nikita Nagornyy emphasized that he was delighted with the World Youth Festival. 

"I try to be as helpful as possible wherever I am invited, join in, participate. Many guys who are incredibly talented and have great energy to develop, share their experiences, talk about the best achievements of their countries have gathered here. The opportunities given to the guys are very serious," said Nikita Nagornyy.

The World Youth Festival is taking place at the Sirius Federal Territory from March 1 to 7, 2024, as per the decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed at fostering international youth cooperation.

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) is the organizer of the World Youth Festival, with the Directorate of the World Youth Festival serving as the operator for WYF-2024.
