14 February 2024, 17:45

The World Youth Festival will host the Our Cosmos performative and educational project staged by Aleksey Frandetti, Chief Director at Mark Zakharov’s Lenkom Theater. It will be hosted by Yulia Peresild and Miloš Biković, the actors of the Russian film "The Challenge", which was shot in space. The project is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.

WYF 2024 participants will learn about the history of space exploration in Russia, the profession of an astronaut and the peculiarities of life in the airless space "first hand". Russian test cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev, Andrey Fedyaev, and Pyotr Dubrov will tell about it. Festival participants will learn how astronauts put on a spacesuit, what they eat during their "expeditions", and how they train on the International Space Station.

"I have never talked about space in my theatrical language. Thanks to the performative and educational project, the audience will learn a lot about space. In order to immerse the participants in space, modern technologies will be used on stage, including light and video solutions, as well as a cappella music and modern dance. Given all the power of our creative team, the Our Cosmos project will be very interesting," said Aleksey Frandetti, director and producer.

He noted that young people from all over the world will be able to get answers to questions related to space exploration, get closer to their "dream" and even get to "touch" it. The partner of the event was Prosto Kosmos LLC.
