National Preparatory Committees for the World Youth Festival were established in 15 countries

As part of the preparations for the World Youth Festival, National Preparatory Committees (NPCs) have been established in the participating countries - they are already up and running in Spain, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Israel, Yemen, Iraq, Liberia, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Mexico, Panama, Honduras and the Caribbean.

«Today, countries from different parts of the world are showing their willingness to participate in the preparation of the World Youth Festival, which will unite young people from all over the world in 2024. Already 15 countries have set up National Preparatory Committees. This proves that there are no borders for young people, neither in friendship, nor in dreams, nor in opportunities. The aspirations of the young generation are not influenced by all the propaganda of the collective West: young people clearly understand that the future of the world depends on their generation's capacity for dialogue and mutual understanding. On the platform of the World Youth Festival, their hands and voices will begin a new history of international dialogue between young people from all over the world,» said Ksenia Razuvaeva, the Head of Rosmolodezh.

Youth ministries, public and student organizations, associations of graduates of Russian universities are participating in the creation of National Preparatory Committees - supporting structures of the Festival abroad, added the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

«We are delighted that Argentina is the first country to establish a National Preparatory Committee. We are creating a federal organization that is not only based in Buenos Aires, but covers all regions of the country. The Committee plays an important role in Russia-Argentina relations: it does not simply represent the government, but is responsible for establishing cooperation and friendly relations between the countries. The National Preparatory Committee is a unique tool that unites young people in Argentina and shows them that their voice matters and that they can show the power of youth. The World Youth Festival will serve to unite the peoples of the world, and I am sure that thousands of young people from Argentina will apply to take part,» said Lucas Adrian Garcia, the Chairman of the National Preparatory Committee of Argentina.

The tasks of the Committees include the selection of foreign participants, the formation of foreign delegations, as well as the popularization of the festival in the participating countries. In addition, after the World Youth Festival, the National Preparatory Committees will become the basis for the formation of an active international youth movement in the participating countries.

«The World Youth Festival is very important for young people from all over the world - it will be a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, a space where young people from different countries can express themselves, empower themselves, spread the message of tolerance and respect for other cultures. For the youth of Panama, the Festival is an opportunity to discover a different reality, to build strategic partnerships both regionally and globally, to discuss challenges and propose innovative solutions that will contribute to a more just and harmonious world,» said Cristel Quintero, the Chairman of the National Preparatory Committee of Panama.

In the near future, 40 more Committees will be opened in foreign countries. Overseas youth have already expressed their desire to be part of the WYF 2024 - representatives from more than 150 countries have applied for participation in the Festival.

It should be remembered that 20 thousand young people aged 18-35, working in business, media, education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteer and charity work, sports and various other spheres of life, including 10 thousand internationals, can become participants of the World Youth Festival. In addition, for the first time in the history of the festival movement, teenagers aged 14-17 will be able to take part in the event - 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad.
