On September 26, the World Youth Festival Volunteer Recruitment and Training Center was opened at the Mosvolonter Resource Center. The event was attended by Ekaterina Dragunova, Chairperson of the Moscow Public Relations and Youth Policy Committee, Larisa Sulima, Deputy Director General for Regional Cooperation of the World Youth Festival Directorate, and Aleksandr Levit, Director of the Mosvolonter Resource Center.

The Volunteer Recruitment and Training Center will recruit and train 520 volunteers from the Moscow, Kursk, Voronezh, Vladimir, Tambov and Tver Regions, including 350 representatives from the capital. Volunteers from Moscow will play an important role as City Volunteers. They will meet foreign guests at Moscow and Sochi airports and create a festive and welcoming atmosphere in these cities during the Festival.

Moscow recruiters have already been trained and are ready to start work. In October and November, the training of trainers from the Central Federal District will continue. They will train volunteers from their regions until the end of January 2024.

"About 50 of our volunteer recruiters and trainers are ready to start interviewing and training volunteers. They have undergone special training themselves and are ready to help both beginners and experienced volunteers to unlock their potential, set suitable tasks and gain the knowledge necessary to represent Moscow volunteers on a global scale. There will be a total of 15 volunteer functional areas at the Festival. Everyone will be able to find something interesting for themselves," said Aleksandr Levit, Director of the Mosvolonter Resource Center.

The Mosvolonter Resource Center has experience in training volunteers for major international events, including the World Festival of Youth and Students 2017. The organization develops more than 10 volunteer areas and creates conditions for everyone to take part. Over a million Moscow residents have taken part in volunteering projects.
