31 January 2024, 12:35

Russian and foreign experts will discuss new opportunities and challenges for BRICS members in the era of global development at the World Youth Festival. The National Committee for BRICS Research became a partner of the event.

WYF 2024 participants will be able to learn more about possible ways of cooperation between Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and other countries interested in partnership with the BRICS. Experts will discuss the prospects of globalization and the reverse process of deglobalization. They will also discuss the contribution that young people can make to building a world order based on mutual respect and support.

"The discussion and debate on the BRICS at the World Youth Festival is relevant because it takes place in the year of Russia's chairmanship of the expanded BRICS. Participating in our events will help young people to understand how the countries of this association deal with global problems, how they interact in different areas and how they plan to further develop this interaction. Young people will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about new challenges and prospects for cooperation in the modern world through a live discussion with experts from the BRICS countries," said Georgy Toloraya, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Committee for BRICS Research.

He noted that the events will be useful for young people who want to share experiences and ideas with representatives of different cultures. In his opinion, discussions and debates will inspire the younger generation to be active participants in global processes and international cooperation.

Representatives of the National Committee for BRICS Research and the Eurasian Information and Analytical Consortium, as well as heads of research centers from Brazil, China, India and South Africa will act as experts.
