The Physicists and Lyricists Exhibition Opens at the World Youth Festival

The opening ceremony of the Physicists and Lyricists photo exhibition within the framework of the World Youth Festival was held on March 3.

The opening ceremony was attended by Andrey Fursenko, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, and Sergey Novikov, Head of the Presidential Department for Public Projects. The opening took place on the Multinational Unity Day within the framework of the WYF.

"The fact that there are tons of people around who want to see this exhibition already shows that science is developing well... We have more interest in science in Russia than ever before in our country," said Andrei Fursenko.

In turn, Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, explained that the unification of science and art has historical roots.

The exhibition presents portraits of laureates of various awards in the field of culture, science.

For example, among the portraits there is a photo of conductor Yuri Bashmet, ballet dancer Artem Ovcharenko, chemist Dina Deineko, microbiologist and virologist Sergey Pavlushin.

The World Youth Festival is taking place at the Sirius Federal Territory from March 1 to 7, 2024, as per the decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed at fostering international youth cooperation.

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) is the organizer of the World Youth Festival, with the Directorate of the World Youth Festival serving as the operator for WYF-2024.
