On the occasion of the presentation of the World Youth Festival, a reception of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and members of international organizations took place in Moscow. Attendees represented 54 countries from Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Aleksandr Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and Denis Ashirov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, addressed the foreign guests. The meeting was moderated by Daniil Bisslinger, WYF 2024 Coordinator of the International Division.

Aleksandr Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, spoke about the prospects for international youth cooperation in a changing world. He noted that expanding direct contacts between young people from different countries, educating the younger generation and sharing moral and ethical values are solid foundations for fruitful interstate cooperation in the future.

"People's diplomacy, including the youth segment, contributes to the mutual cultural enrichment of different countries, friendship, peace, mutual understanding and equality. The World Youth Festival will certainly provide opportunities for the participants to communicate openly and realize their powerful creative force in the world. The Festival will be a bright event for foreign participants, who will be able to make contacts with young people from all over the world and get acquainted with the unique Russian hospitality," he said.

During the presentation, Denis Ashirov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, introduced the guests to the concept, meaning and values of next year's largest international youth event. These values include equality, mutual help, mercy and justice. The foreign ambassadors also learned about the main elements of the WYF 2024 program, which includes many formats for participants to interact — discussions and lectures by renowned experts, cultural exchanges, sports competitions and joint trainings, volunteer events, and much more.

"We invite young people from all over the world to be part of the most unforgettable, largest, most spectacular and brightest international event of 2024. It is important to attract as many young leaders from different countries as possible. After all, young people are not only our future, they are also our present. Young people are already deciding how they want to see the world and how to build it together," Denis Ashirov, Deputy Head of Rosmolodezh, addressed the participants of the reception.
