Dmitry Medvedev will speak at the flagship educational marathon of the Knowledge Society Znanie.Pervye at the World Youth Festival (WYF) at Sirius. The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation will tell what strategic decisions the geopolitical situation in Russia dictates today. Dmitry Medvedev will share his vision of the architecture of the new world with those who will have to build it - with young people, who are the main audience of the marathon Znanie.Pervye and WYF-2024. The speech is included in the thematic track "A world of opportunity for everyone".

Dmitry Medvedev has been at the forefront of Russian politics for more than 20 years. In different years he held the posts of First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation (2000-2003), Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation (2003-2005) and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation (2005-2008). In 2008, he took office as President of Russia and became the youngest head of state in the history of modern Russia. He headed the Government of the Russian Federation (2012-2020). Since January 2020, Dmitry Medvedev has been Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and since December 2022 he has combined his duties with the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation. The educational marathon Znanie.Pervye will be held from March 2 to 6 and will cover six venues of the World Youth City at Sirius: the WYF International Airport and pavilions Yamal, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Belgorod, and Moscow. The organizer of the marathon Znanie.Pervye - Russian Knowledge Society - is the general partner of the educational program of the World Youth Festival, which will be held on the Sirius Federal Territory from March 1 to 7.

Along with the Znanie.Pervye marathon, as part of the WYF educational program, the Knowledge Society will organize an intellectual tournament Znanie.Game with the participation of polymaths from different countries and a film lecture Znanie.Kino, where the audience will be able not only to watch legendary Russian and foreign films, but also to discuss them with famous actors and directors. The World Youth Festival is intended to become a platform for open dialog between young people from Russia and other countries. After the completion of the events on the Sirius Federal Territory, Russian Knowledge Society will continue the educational line of the World Youth Festival from March 9 to 17 within the framework of the regional program WYF-2024, which will cover all federal districts of the Russian Federation.

The World Youth Festival takes place in 2024 to promote international youth cooperation. 20,000 young leaders in education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering, charity, sports, business, media, etc., including 10,000 foreign participants, took part in the WYF 2024. The Russian Knowledge Society traces its history back to the Soviet public organization founded in 1947 on the initiative of representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia as the All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Scientific Knowledge (since 1963 — the All-Union Knowledge Society, since 1991— the Knowledge of Russia Society). Members of the Society were engaged in popularizing science and lecturing on the achievements of the Soviet economy and industry. In 2016, Knowledge of Russia was transformed into the Russian Knowledge Society. On April 21, 2021, the President's Address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation stated the need to relaunch the Russian Knowledge Society on a modern digital platform.
