More Than 5,000 Listeners Daily: What Did Remember The Znanie.Pervye Marathon Participants Of WYF-2024 From 188 Countries Of The World

The path to a multipolar world, self-realization of youth for the sake of the future and Russia’s openness to dialogue with all countries are the main themes of the educational Znanie.Pervye Marathon, which was held from March 2 to 6 on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival in Sirius. The Russian Knowledge Society acted as the general partner of the WYF-2024 educational program, and the flagship marathon of the country’s leading educational organization for the first time became a global event aimed at developing international cooperation. Over five days, 137 lecturers shared their knowledge with young leaders from 188 countries, of which 20 were representatives of Austria, Afghanistan, Brazil, Germany, India, Italy, Serbia, Turkey, and Thailand. With their speeches, discussions, and master classes, the lecturers inspired over 5,000 children who gathered at the venues on each of the five days of the program.

As the guys from the foreign delegations noted, the Znanie.Pervye marathon showed that Russia is open to cooperation, that it is truly a country of opportunity. Speeches by outstanding experts helped young people learn about trends, promising areas of activity and important projects in which they can take part and contribute to their development. Russians learned more about international initiatives and had the opportunity to meet their favorite idols. 

“The Znanie.Pervye marathon has become one of the main events of the World Youth Festival, a place for dialogue between young leaders and mentors from around the world. During their presentations, the lecturers talked about the key values of our country, unity, and the importance of intercultural and interethnic dialogue. What is especially important is that the marathon participants received honest, sincere answers to their questions, of which there were really many, and they related to various topics: geopolitics, history, the social sphere, culture, opportunities for self-realization. I am confident that from the World Youth Festival the children will take away with them new knowledge that in the future will help them make a contribution to building a fair, safe multipolar world", - noted Maxim Dreval, summing up the results of the Znanie.Pervye marathon.

The most striking speeches of the marathon lecturers were broadcast on the 24-hour media channel Znanie.TV, some have already been published in the community of the educational organization VKontakte and will be available in the digital library of the Knowledge Society. 

The number of lecturers who shared their personal experiences, talked about trends and opportunities included government officials Dmitry Medvedev, Sergei Kiriyenko, Dmitry Peskov, Igor Levitin, Denis Manturov, Mikhail Murashko, Irina Yarovaya, Maria Lvova-Belova, heads of the WF regions. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' also spoke with the marathon participants. The key speakers from the country's largest enterprises were Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev and Roscosmos head Yuri Borisov. Speakers included successful scientists, public figures, teachers, experts from the BRICS countries, famous athletes Alexander Karelin, Roman Kostomarov, Oksana Domnina, Nikita Nagorny, Sergei Karyakin, Adelina Sotnikova, Evgenia Medvedeva, Dina and Arina Averina. The sphere of culture and art was represented by director Emir Kusturica, artist Jorit, actors Burak Ozchivit, Milos Bikovich, Sergey Bezrukov, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Leon Kemstach, singer Olga Buzova.

Defenders of the Fatherland met with the guys: Heroes of the DPR Artyom Zhoga and Akhra Avidzba, Hero of Russia Sergei Belozerov, SWO veteran Ilya Dontsov - the audience gave them a standing ovation and thanked them for their courage. Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the RT channel and the Rossiya Segodnya media group, spoke to the marathon participants about honest journalism.

The Znanie.Pervye marathon program was supplemented by the VK Day lecture hall, where stand-up comedians, athletes, and musicians popular among young people talked about humor, the development of social networks, shared the secrets of creating interesting content, and told how to make your dream come true and achieve popularity.

All six sites of the Znanie.Pervye marathon - WYF International Airport, "Yamal", "Nizhny Novgorod", "Kazan", "Belgorod", "Moscow" Pavilions - were filled with young people, the guys actively communicated in different languages, took pictures with speakers, shared impressions with journalists from major media outlets, discussed the speeches they heard. The marathon tracks were in tune with the meanings of the Festival: “Responsibility for the fate of the world”, “Multinational unity”, “A world of opportunity for everyone”, “Saving the family for future generations” and “We stand together with Russia”.

Along with the educational Znanie.Pervye marathon, within the framework of the educational program of the World Youth Festival, the Knowledge Society organized the intellectual tournament Znanie.Igra with the participation of scholars from different countries, screenings of performances together with the Tavrida Art Cluster, a film lecture Znanie.Kino, where spectators from all over the world got acquainted with legendary Russian films and discussed them with famous actors and directors. Also, a multimedia exhibition of the National Photo Competition Znanie.Russia was organized for WYF participants, giving the opportunity to see the main achievements of modern Russia and immerse themselves in their atmosphere using augmented reality technology. 

Now, on March 10, the regional program of the Russian Knowledge Society starts as part of the World Youth Festival, which will be held until March 17 in all eight federal districts of the Russian Federation. The children will enjoy more than 200 educational events, including speeches, discussions, and master classes by authoritative lecturers from various fields. The program will unite Russians from regions of the country and foreign participants of the World Youth Festival, who will travel across Russia as part of several teams. Guests from different countries will have the opportunity to get acquainted with their Russian peers, the culture of our country and the achievements of the regions.

The World Youth Festival is held in accordance with the http://publication.pravo.gov.ru/Document/View/0001202304050024Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin to develop international youth cooperation. At the first meeting of the Organizing Committee chaired by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, it was decided to hold the Festival in the Sirius Federal Territory.

20,000 young leaders in education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering, charity, sports, business, media, etc., including 10,000 foreign participants, will take part in the WYF 2024. For the first time in the history of the festival movement, teenagers from 14 to 17 years old had the opportunity to join the event, including 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad. 5,000 volunteers from all regions of Russia, including 228 residents of the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Regions be involved in the organization and delivery of the Festival. The organizer of the World Youth Festival is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the operator of the WYF-2024 is the Directorate of the World Youth Festival.

The first federal education marathon was held in May 2021 and became a symbol of the reboot of the Russian Knowledge Society. More than 850 lecturers shared their experience during the marathon.

The Russian Knowledge Society traces its history back to the Soviet public organization founded in 1947 on the initiative of representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia as the All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Scientific Knowledge (since 1963 — the All-Union Knowledge Society, since 1991— the Knowledge of Russia Society). Members of the Society were engaged in popularizing science and lecturing on the achievements of the Soviet economy and industry. In 2016, Knowledge of Russia was transformed into the Russian Knowledge Society. On April 21, 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to restart the Russian Knowledge Society on a modern digital platform in his address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
