About 150 Recruiters to Select Volunteers for the World Youth Festival

From September to December 2023, 150 recruiters will select volunteers from all over Russia for the World Youth Festival.

A team of the first 60 recruiters learned the basic methods of interviewing future WYF 2024 volunteers at the Caspian Youth Educational Forum, which took place from September 16 to 20. During the seminar, they mastered the skills and tools needed to select the best and most motivated volunteers, explored strategies for assessing skills and determining candidate potential, and learned about the practical aspects of their work.

«The selection of volunteers will start on October 2 in all 27 volunteer centers across the country.This requires preparing a professional team with knowledge of modern interviewing techniques, psychology, communication and language training skills.A huge responsibility rests on their shoulders.They will have to select the most motivated, sociable and teamwork - savvy volunteers who will contribute to the organization of this major international event in March 2024. I am convinced that the young people who came to the Caspian Forum and acquired theoretical and practical skills here will successfully cope with this task», said Larisa Sulima, Deputy Director General for Regional Cooperation of the World Youth Festival Directorate.

Recruiter training will continue through the end of the year in each federal district at the World Youth Festival Volunteer Recruitment and Training Centers.

A presentation of the Festival was also held as part of the Caspian Forum. Participants were introduced to the WYF 2024 concept, its main meanings and values. They also learned how to join the largest international youth event of the next year.

The training of the World Youth Festival volunteer program trainers has also started.As official representatives of the centers, they will train the volunteers selected in the regions until the end of January 2024. A team of 160 trainers will provide training to the volunteers.

The World Youth Festival will take place in 2024, according to the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the development of international youth cooperation. At the first meeting of the Organizing Committee chaired by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, it was decided to hold the Festival in the Sirius Federal Territory on March 1-7, 2024. The regional program of the World Youth Festival will take place on March 10-17, 2024. The participants will visit 30 cities of Russia.

20,000 young leaders in education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering, charity, sports, business, media, etc., including 10,000 foreign participants, will take part in the WYF 2024. For the first time in the history of the festival movement young people aged 14-17, 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad, will have the opportunity to participate in the event. 5,000 volunteers from all regions of Russia, including about 250 residents of the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Regions will be involved in the organization and delivery of the Festival. Registration of volunteers is open on the ДОБРО.РФ platform until December 1, 2023.
