9 February 2024, 15:10

45 students from 17 regions of Russia became conductors of the World Youth Festival passenger trains. The winners were selected from over 400 applicants based on the results of a competition organized by the Russian Student Groups in cooperation with the Federal Passenger Company.

Student conductors will accompany Festival participants and ensure their comfort while traveling from Adler to Moscow and from Kazan to Adler. The first train will leave on February 19 and run until March 12.

"I am sure that the student conductor teams will provide a high level of service to all guests of the World Youth Festival in Russia. All the members of this team have gone through a selection process and have received professional training. But the most important thing is that each of them has a great desire to be a part of this major event in our country and to welcome all of our guests with dignity," said Mikhail Kiselyov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy and Chairman of the Russian Student Groups Board.

He noted that conducting is one of the most popular areas that students choose for part-time work. This year, thanks to a joint program with the Federal Passenger Company, 12,000 people will be hired to provide summer passenger transportation.

On Students' Day, the uniforms of passenger train conductors of the World Youth Festival were presented as part of the launch of the fourth season of Your Move All-Russian Student Competition.
