Description of the event
Try for a second to imagine your life without energy and electricity, the consumption of which is increasing every year. Developing the northern territories, irrigating the deserts and scaring the planets of the solar system are the tasks that humanity will face in the next hundreds of years. What will be the source of energy for these tasks? Where does science fiction end and the serious work of scientists and engineers begin?
During the session, young scientists from leading Russian and international scientific centers will talk about large-scale installations and researches aimed at creating inexhaustible energy sources for mankind:
- Technologies of two-component nuclear power with a closed nuclear fuel cycle;
- Technologies of controlled thermonuclear fusion and innovative plasma facilities;
- New materials for advanced energy systems;
- Transition to hydrogen energy, which will allow safe and abundant energy storage.
The session is devoted to the main achievements and further directions of science and technology development, the role of high technologies in energy in people's lives, as well as Russian and international research projects in which young scientists and specialists from all over the world can participate.
